We have expanded our reach to the New York City area and we’re seeking a Senior Commercial Account Executive to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your consultative sales skills in a new market and help us continue to grow.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience selling services to mostly enterprise clients. Hosting, colocation, managed services, cloud computing or virtualization sales experience required.
Responsibilities:

Build the sales funnel:
-
“Cold” lead development – telesales, hosted industry events (open-houses, product demos, etc), cold-calling, follow-up marketing lead generated opportunities, etc.

“Warm” lead development – existing account expansion, RFP response, former account recovery, leads from the Marketing department, etc.

Cross selling and up-selling the Carpathia Hosting product suite into existing accounts
-
“Hunt and farm” to develop and maintain relationships from the operational through the ‘C’ level to meet quarterly Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) quotas.

Utilize our internal teams (Sales Engineering, Contracts, Marketing, Business Development) to quickly identify and build solutions based on customers’ requests/needs.
Position Objectives:

Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets

Present, propose, negotiate and close new sales utilizing consultative sales approach. Ensure and maintain minimum funnel goals are met or exceeded

Manage daily business through the CRM tool (Sugar) and provide feedback on prospects and opportunities.

Provide accurate and detailed sales forecasts to Director of Commercial Sales

Continue to train and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points, including enhancing expertise in SaaS, Networking, Cloud Computing, Application Hosting etc.

Understand and adapt to constantly changing products in a perpetually changing industry.

Strong communication skills; able to build relationships easily.

Capable of working independently and as part of a growing team.

Proficiency with the MS Applications suite of products including Excel and PowerPoint and a CRM tool (Sugar, Salesforce.com, etc.)

A proven and verifiable track record within a role that required IT business development, direct IT sales or relationship management skills.
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
