Background
Ethical Advocate (EA) is one of the country’s leading companies providing comprehensive ethics and compliance solutions, including confidential/anonymous hotlines and ethics and compliance training. Its services are essential in meeting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and other regulatory requirements. EA is a hotline provider to many government contractors, nationally branded companies and government agencies and also provides online and live ethics trainings to meet FAR, Federal Sentencing Guidelines and other requirements.
Challenge
Given the nature of its work, data security has always been at the top of Ethical Advocate’s requirements. However, after being approached to provide safe, secure and anonymous hotline services to the Durham VA Medical Center in Durham, NC, Ethical Advocate needed to find a hosting provider capable of hosting its servers in a compliant facility, meeting the extensive and complex requirements of FISMA compliance.
