Cloud Networking Comes of Age

As you have heard from me over the past few months, the network is where the innovation needs to occur in the cloud.  One of our partners that has been driving this innovation is Citrix -- starting with the VPX load balancers in 2009, one of the first commercially available load balancers optimized for the cloud and delivered as virtual machines.

Fast forward to today. Much attention has been given to "hybrid clouds", including by us.  We see tremendous demands for hybrid clouds and have been working with our partners to enable this. At Synergy today, Citrix has taken the next step by bringing Netscaler OpenCloud Bridge to market. OpenCloud bridge allows easy connection between onsite resources and clouds.

Carpathia is thrilled to be at the forefront of this innovation with Citrix. Just think, a compliant, enterprise cloud immediately on-tap to complement your existing IT investments and resources.

If you're at Synergy, be sure to catch the Is there such a thing as a private cloud? breakout session on Thursday from 11:30AM - 12:15PM, where Paul Roberts, our Lead Cloud Architect, will be participating in a panel discussion on the private cloud.
