Carpathia <3's NYC

New York has always been a very interesting market for Carpathia with many prospects having rigorous compliance requirements, one of our specialties.  As such, I’ve been traveling to the Big Apple quite often over the past couple of months.

This year we have doubled down in the NY/NJ area by adding additional sales resources and extending our data center footprint and network reach. Delivering close to 1TB/sec of managed bandwidth really puts Carpathia in the top echelon and makes for some very interesting discussions with prospects and customers.  The New York market is also void of any significant enterprise/complex hosting companies, making customer’s choices very limited.

I'd categorize the customers/prospects I've been spending most time with as:

·      Customers with compliance requirements. Publicly traded companies, financial services, healthcare or combinations of all the above.

·      Customers in the content delivery business. There are a great number of companies who are delivering significant sites and large volumes of content within the NY market. This includes both produced content and user-generated content.

·      Customers with low-latency network requirements. Often we think of these customers as those who need to access financial trading networks but this is also true for ad networks where proximity to the network is key.

What I’ve found most interesting when speaking to these customers is that very few hosting companies are willing to get in a room and brainstorm/whiteboard ideas, challenge architecture and hunt out the economics today’s IT systems require.  Thinking on our feet and designing a solution beyond simple hosting has been the hallmark of Carpathia for many years and it continues to be the way we differentiate ourselves in the hosting space.

If you would like to schedule a meeting with our New York team please drop a note to sales@carpathia.com.

With other dogs I would go through the mntoios of whatever obedience class I enrolled in and when it was over .well, it was over. I would have to look for the next class .which I ended up not doing any other classes. With Calik9 I started the personal training with my redbone coonhound, moved on to basic obedience in a group setting, moved on to advance training and then added agility. It is so much fun to see your dog go at any obstacle with confidence when asked.Calik9 has grown substantially since I started with Jas in may 2010. It is so exciting seeing new dogs starting what I already know as the BEST TRAINING you can possibly get for your dog. And I really appreciate that Jas and his team always keep it new and challenging. I don't think ill ever stop training with Calik9.
